A little background on the church:
The Bear Creek Church of the Brethren was organized way back in 1846. The first building was built in 1858 on a lot donated by John Beeghly. That building was torn down in 1889 and replaced with a new church building. The church building was remodeled completed between 1960 and 1963 and the congregation held a dedication service July 14, 1963. On September 8, 1996 the congregation celebrated its 150th Anniversary.
More recently, a new fellowship hall was added to the church expanding the kitchen, bringing bathrooms upstairs, and extending the parking area. Our church likes to be a place where the true church of Christ can gather, giving glory to God, and worshipping, studying, teaching, and fellowshipping together.
